Environmental Management
We established our environmental policy in 1994, and have worked toward environmental conservation, based on a long-term vision, ever since.
We acquired ISO14001 certification in March 2001, revised our environmental policy with an eye to the social context, and in accordance with the ISO14001 revision of 2015, have expanded our activities since FY2017 to take risk into account as well.

The Group recognizes the conservation of the global environment as one of the most important issues common to humanity, and throughout product development, production activities, sales and other activities, conducts initiatives toward the realization of the SDGs and the governmental goals of a zero-carbon, recycling-based society coexistent with nature in order to contribute to the sustainable society.
■ Environmental Policy
Policy: "Creating new value in contribution to the environment, passing on this beautiful earth to the next generation"
- 1. We will comply with environmental laws, regulations, conventions, etc.
- 2. The influence of our business activities, products, and services on the environment will be understood as part of a life cycle, with initiatives conducted regarding the following environmental objectives.
- CO2 emissions reduction
- Emission substances reduction and maintenance of zero emissions
- Eco-friendly products development
- 3. In order to further active environmental protection activities, we will address the following topics.
- Production of eco-friendly products to customers
- Promotion of eco-friendly "green procurement"
- Promotion of ecological logistics and transportation
- Promotion of harmony with nature through regional conservation activities as a member of regional society
- Provision of safety and security to regional society (implementation of environmental pollution prevention)
- 4. We will disclose environmental information.

Since the acquisition of ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification on March 16, 2001, certification has been obtained at the following domestic sites and Group companies.

Environmental Education
In order to conduct suitable environmental conservation activities and to maintain and enhance their level, we must make sure every employee possesses environmental awareness and gains accurate information. NITTO KOGYO has a variety of environmental education curricula used in regular education.
