In order to create products that satisfy our customers' needs, we promote compliance not only with Japanese standards but also international standards such as IEC, UL, and NEBS.
International Standard Certified Enclosure
Along with the globalization of the market in the FA control field that supports the factory production system, operating environments have diversified and the demand for safety has increased. At NITTO KOGYO, we offer a lineup of enclosures that are certified in UL and TUV, as well as compliant to CE marking in order to support safety improvement and meet diversified needs.
Support for IEC standards
The quality and performance of our products comply with various IEC standards . We began by obtaining compliance with the "IEC60529 Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures (IP Code)" before anyone else in the industry, contributing to the spread of IEC standards. Moreover, we participate in IEC activities and evaluate products with the latest international standards.
Support for UL standards
For UL50 and UL50E, performances such as flame retardancy, resistance for corrosion, anti-freezing, dustproofing, and waterproofing are required. We conduct strict performance evaluation according to the usage environment. RUL type enclosures acquired the first UL certification in Japan.
Support for NEBS standards
In the United States, information communication equipment is evaluated with seismic tests, static load tests, and environmental tests. The NEBS standard is one of the important evaluation standards. The FS series seismic resistant type (FST80-720E) is compliant with Zone 4.
Precautions:
Seismic performance is based on our device installation conditions. Installable weight varies depending on the model, specifications (reclassification specifications / option additions), installation conditions (center of gravity), installation environment, etc.
Regions are classified by the regional risk of earthquake, and the required seismic performance is specified accordingly. Seismic waves for evaluation tests are waveforms that take the response of buildings into account, and the severity is classified by the response spectrum.
About TUV Mark
TUV is a third party organization that conducts product safety tests and certification in Germany. Display of the TUV mark indicates that test verification under the presence of a TUV Examiner was conducted.
Support for CE Marking
CE marking indicates that the product conforms to the relevant EC Directives, and guarantees free circulation within the EU area. The low voltage directive (EN 62208) applies to enclosures. The international standard certified enclosures (FUL type, RUL type, CL-U type, CF-U type and CN-U type) are CE compliant.
