[TEM-3] Spark Discharge Detection Device 3Ø3W, AC200V (for Use in Japan Only)
Spark Discharge Detection Device contributes to prevention of electrical fires by detecting spark discharge occurrences and raising the alarm.
- It detects spark discharges occurring at electrical circuits and/or receptacles inside the electrical panel it is installed in.
- It notifies occurrence of spark discharges by alarm sound, LED lighting and contact output.
- It can shut off earth leakage breakers when detecting spark discharges. (The interruption function can be turned off).

*1 The indication is also seen when the device determines during the test sequence that the intended circuits are not suitable for spark discharge detection.
*2 Detection happening within 30 minutes after the previous event will not be added to the count.
Cautionary note
- The device is designed exclusively for use in 3Ø3W, AC200V electrical circuits with Delta configuration. It should not be used in circuits in other conditions.
- The device is intended for being installed in electrical panels for use.
- The device is intended for detecting spark discharge occurrence. It does not prevent spark discharges from occurring or does not ensure fires are prevented beforehand.
- The device does not detect fires due to contact between electrical appliances and combustibles.
- The device does not detect heat caused by faulty electrical work (e.g. loose terminal connection) and/or overload.
- The device is intended for detecting spark dischares occurring inside the panel where it is installed (occurring in the close range). It does not detect those occurring in the circuits having difference power sources inside the panel and/or those occuring at circuits and devices outside the panel.
- The device may not be able to detect spark discharges in case there are many noises generated from electrical devices in the vicinity.
- When noise filters exist in the circuits, the device may not be able to detect spark discharges occurring at locations beyond them. Noise filters used in the immediate vicinity of the device may interfere detection of spark discharges.
- The device is designed for detecting the electrical noise accompanying spark discharge occurrence. It may detect other high-frequency noises that are similar to spark discharge noise and raise false alarm.
- The device may detect spark dischargs occurring outside panels depending on the circuit conditions. (e.g. wiring length, the number of branches and loads)
- The function of circuit interruption can be used when an earth leakage circuit breakers is used as the main circuit breaker of the panel the device is installed in. The function does not work with standard circuit breakers.
