NITTO KOGYO Seen Through Numbers

Here, we introduce NITTO KOGYO, with its significant contributions to society and everyday life and continuing growth, through numbers.

SCROLL

Established for
74
years

In 1948 "NITTO KOGYO" started its journey with the manufacture of wiring instruments and switches.

Based on the founder Yoichi Kato's desire to manufacture high-quality products, we have always aimed for quality first and customer satisfaction while striving to create products that customers will continue to love.

Sales (consolidated) of over
146
billion JPY

Our sales, which were tens of millions of JPY at the time of NITTO KOGYO's establishment, steadily increased with the rapid economic growth after the war, exceeding 10 billion JPY in the 1970s and 20 billion JPY in the 1980s.

In 1990 and beyond, sales increased to the range of 40 to 70 billion JPY with the corresponding economic growth, and in recent years, due to special demand accompanying the spread of photovoltaic power generation equipment and an increase in consolidated subsidiaries, etc.,consolidated net sales exceeded 100 billion yen for the first time in 2014,and we are continuing to aim for further growth.

Sales Offices
45

We have 45 sales offices from Hokkaido to Kumamoto prefectures centered around prefectural capitals.
We have sales bases adjacent to factories in order to respond promptly to customer's needs.

We have large offices where dozens of staff work on the same floor in several departments, as well as small offices with a around 3 elite staff members.

Production Bases (Japan)
8

The Nagoya factory headquarters was established in 1967 based on the founder Kato Yoichi's desire to "create a spacious plant in a spacious site full of green" and to "utilize the factory as a ground where the young and new employees can grow."

This desire has been realized in 8 plants within Japan. Each factory is like a park, full of greenery.

Overseas Groups in
7
Countries

In China, we established a subsidiary in 2004where we manufacture and sell enclosures and the like locally.
We established a production base in Thailand in 2008,and a sales company in 2015.

Furthermore, in 2015,we turned a distribution board maker in Singapore into a subsidiary, accelerating the expansion of full-fledged business to ASEAN countries.

Approximately
35000
Standard Products

You can walk around a city and find NITTO KOGYO's products everywhere.
For example, there are enclosures that protect electrical equipment installed around surveillance cameras from wind and rain,high-voltage power receiving equipment that draws electricity from wires to the backs of convenience store buildings and lowers the high voltages, and electric vehicle charging stands in the parking.

lots of commercial facilities.

Industry's
NO.1
Testing and Research
Equipment

We provide the world's most comprehensive testing and research facilities. (In-house research)
Highly reliable products are realized by conducting research on operating environments along with thorough evaluation tests including seismic resistance, wind/rain, dustproofing, waterproofing, solar radiation and short-circuit tests.

We use CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) to evaluate the performance of the product as well as to examine the optimum shapes and specifications.
